OUR MISSION
The purpose of the Foundation is to support people at risk of any form of exploitation through prevention of at-risk groups, outreach, intervention and support in the recovery of victims of trafficking, exploitation, slavery and other forms of injustice.
Prevention
Studies show that some of the most significant indicators of risk of trafficking and exploitation are poverty and lack of education. Prevention is a means of preventing human trafficking and is the basis for ending this form of modern slavery. We believe that good awareness is key, but we also consider the impact of quality of life on potential exploitation. Therefore, we support the work of partner organizations by donating clothes and toys to minority families. We also participate in educational campaigns aimed at increasing the education of young women and children at risk, such as raising awareness of the problem of human trafficking, parenting courses, learning basic life skills.
Outreach
One of the foundation’s goals is to reach victims of exploitation where they are – on the streets, in clubs and online. We use a variety of creative approaches to express empathy, inspire hope and offer alternatives. We are looking for ways to show that everyone can get a second chance.
We desire to reach victims of exploitation where they are – on the streets, in clubs and online. We use a variety of creative approaches to express empathy, inspire hope and offer opportunities.
Intervention
We provide assistance in removal from the place of operation, repatriation, placement in a crisis center, etc.
We desire to see Bulgarians have the life that they want for themselves, free from exploitation. When an individual takes that step towards a new life we can offer assistance through repatriation, placement in a crisis center or grants for housing.
Restoration
Changing thinking and behavior patterns is a long and difficult process that lasts a lifetime. We support victims of trafficking by offering psychological and spiritual support, mentoring programs, assistance in acquiring an educational degree and professional qualification, as well as in job search, etc.
Exploitation does not happen overnight, therefore it only makes sense that recovery from exploitation does not happen quickly either. It takes dedication, motivation, support and opportunity for someone to walk the path of recovery. We desire to survivors thrive in the lives that they want for themselves. We support survivors by offering grants for education and/or businesses, psychological and spiritual support, life skills training, mentorship and more.
